NOTE on the E1
The WIC-1T description on Cisco's website says it supports the T1 interface, but it also supports the E1 interface, according the people at the Cisco help line. In Europe, instead of using the V.35 Interface - they use an X.21 interface - therefore a special cable is needed, the "CAB-ACE".

This covers the connection between the router and CSU/DSU. However, even Cisco did not know what type of CSU/DSU to use, not did they know what type of interface the CSU/DSU will need for the Telco connection to the ISP.
