Facilities

The IXC must specify two distinct types of facilities when requesting services (trunks or lines).  The two types of facilities are:

1.Entrance Facility  - this is necessary, even if the IXC POP and the SWC are colocated in the same building.

2.Transport Facility - the IXC, not the customer, determines the exact facilities that are used.. The two types of Transport Facilities are: 

• Direct-Trunked Transport (DTT)  - dedicated to a single customer from the SWC to an EO or access tandem.
• Tandem Switched Transport (TST) - used in conjunction with DTT - unlike DTT, it is shared
