ISO CD Burn Instructions
An ISO file in an "image" of a CD. You can create an ISO file from the contents of a CD - likewise, an ISO file can be "burned" to a blank CD.
WinISO is the best and easiest ISO software I have used.
CDRWIN takes a different approach - and is used to create an exact image of a CD, as a .bin file. Usually it also comes with a .cue file, which can be viewed in Notepad and simply tells the burn software where the .bin file is and possibly some info as to what format the ISO is in (9660 is the most common standard). However, cue files are failry rare these days.
ISO is what everyone uses, and sometimes BIN. If there is a bin "and" cue file then it was probably created with CDRWIN. If there is a bin and .nrg file then it was created by nero.
I have heard that you can burn a CD with just the .bin file but have not tried it.
If you have both the bin and cue files :
1) edit the cue file in notepad to make sure it has the correct path for the bin file
To Burn an cue and bin file to CD, either
A) To burn the CD with CDRWIN, just click the top-left button, load the cue file, and click Write
B) To burn the CD with Nero, click File/Burn . . . and then selct *.* for file type and load the cue file, and Burn the CD.
You can also simply select the bin file and burn form that (no cue file needed
with Nero).
To burn an ISO file, use Nero !!! You simply select File/Burn, and then select the ISO file.
