The ServicePack Folder/Files

DO NOT DELETE !!!!

Some XP systems have a folder and/or files called "ServicePack".  The folder size (including all files) is normally very large.

That folder in effect takes over from the i386 folder of your XP installation CD as the place for the system to go for replacement files (if one gets damaged) or for new ones needed by a hardware or software install.  You could, if pushed for hard drive
space' probably copy it off to a CD, then change the pointer to it at :

            HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
