Windows XP Folder Settings keep Changing


Start/Run . . . regedit

Delete the following keys:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags]

                    OR

Download the following two reg tweaks, and run them to update your registry:

bags.reg - removes the two "bags" entries as shown above

folderviews.reg - Windows remembers 400 folders. When that number is reached things start
to go wrong. You can change this to 1000 by running this reg file
