Automatic Updates
To turn on or off automatic updates, goto Control Panel/System/Automatic Updates tab
NOTE: you can turn off automatic updates and simply visit the Windows Update Web site periodically and it will scan your PC to pinpoint what Critical updates are needed, and also regular optional updates.
To get to the website, select it from Help and Support Center, "windows Update"
