Network Neighborhood Shortcut Icon is Gone

Windows XP has no "Network Neighborhood" shortcut !!  But it has been replaced by "My Network Places", which offers the same functionality.  If that icon is missing:

• Goto Control Panel/Display/ . . . 
• click the Desktop Tab
• click the "Customize Desktop" button
• check the icon/s that are missing

Note:  you can also check or uncheck icons for "My Documents", "My Computer" (same as "Network Neighborhood" in Win98, and "Internet Explorer.
